A strength-training log for iPhone, built by a solo founder in Germany.
The founder
Vectryn is built by Jan Struwe, a solo founder from Germany. Bootstrapped, no investors.
Jan brings years of experience in strength training and knows what current apps are missing. All of that went into Vectryn.
Where it stands
Pre-launch. The app runs as a development build on an iPhone. It isn’t in the App Store yet; release is planned for around January 2027.
Next 12 months
Regular new features, stability, and continuous improvement of the app.
Technology and quality
- Technology: Expo / React Native, TypeScript, a local SQLite database, Apple HealthKit
- Quality: 200 automated tests, automated checks of every screen in light and dark mode, measured colour contrast
